Today's ours is very special, in this you have been told about the four Qul sharif, they have been explained well, their meaning is told, if you want to understand them well, then read this post till the end and take benefit from it.
4 four Qul .
The four Qul surahs are four selected surahs in the Holy Quran known as protection surahs.
Why it is called four Qul is due to the fact that they all start with the Arabic word “Qul” which means “say“.
Below are the four Qul surahs in action along with translations.
Chapter 109 – Surah Al-Kafiroun ( kiThe Unbelievers)
” Bismillahir-Rahmanir-Raheem
Qul ya ayyuhal-Kafiroun
La ‘a-budu ma ta’-bu-doun
Wa la antum ‘abidouna ma ‘a-bud
Wa la ana ‘abidum-ma ‘abadttum
Wa la antum ‘abiduna ma ‘a-bud
Lakum deenukum wa li-ya deen “
In the name of Allah, the Gracious, the Merciful.
1. Say, “O disbelievers.
2. I do not worship what you worship.
3. Nor do you worship what I worship.
4. Nor do I serve what you serve.
5. Nor do you serve what I serve.
6. You have your way, and I have my way.”
Chapter 112 – Surat Al-Ikhlas ( The Purity )
” Bismillahir-Rahmanir-Raheem
Qul Huwa-llahu ‘Ahad
Allahus-Samad
Lam Yalid Wa Lam Yulad
Walam Yakul-La-Hu-Kufuwan ‘Ahad “
In the name of Allah, the Gracious, the Merciful.
1. Say, “He is God, the One.
2. God, the Absolute.
3. He begets not, nor was He begotten.
4. And there is nothing comparable to Him.”
Chapter 113 – Surah Al-Falaq ( Dawn )
” Bismillahir-Rahmanir-Raheem
Qul ‘A’udhu Bi-Rabbil-Falaq
Min Sharri Ma Khalaq
Wa Min Sharri Ghasiqin ‘Idha Waqab
Wa Min Sharri-Naffathati Fil-‘Uqadi
Wa Min Sharri Hasidin ‘Idha Hasad “
In the name of Allah, the Gracious, the Merciful.
1. Say, “I take refuge with the Lord of Daybreak.
2. From the evil of what He created.
3. And from the evil of the darkness as it gathers.
4. And from the evil of those who practice sorcery.
5. And from the evil of an envious when he envies.”
Chapter 114 – Surah An-Nas ( Mankind )
” Bismillahir-Rahmanir-Raheem
Qul ‘A’udhu Bi-Rabbin-Nas
Malikin-Nas
Ilahin-Nas
Min-Sharril-Waswasil-Khan-Nas
Al-Ladhi Yuwas-wisu Fee Sudurin-Nas
Mina Al-Jinnati Wan-Nas “
In the name of Allah, the Gracious, the Merciful.
A1. Say, “I seek refuge in the Lord of mankind.
2. The King of mankind.
3. The God of mankind.
4. From the evil of the sneaky whisperer.
5. Who whispers into the hearts of people.
6. From among jinn and among people.
How can it help you?
So try to recite them and in fact, let's make a promise to ourselves that we will all read these powerful surahs on a daily basis. After all, it’s not for Allah that we read them. As a matter of fact, you and I know deep down it’s for own, you can say selfish reasons. So that when we pass from this world, we may get a place in heaven. It only takes a few minutes and it is free. It does cost only a bit of time. You can recite it, on your lunch break or before you go to work. It is very simple and by reading regularly you will see inshAllah great changes and peace in your life. I know because I am speaking from personal experience. Give a little bit of your time not for Allah but for your self. It is life-changing and you will feel and see positive changes in your life here and get huge rewards in the hereafter as well, inshAllah.
Benefits of 4 Qul Sharif .
As you may know or have noticed when Ramadan ends our Imaan sadly in most cases. We get back to our usual routine and we forget the lessons to learned during the blessed month of Ramadan. We may give in to our desires and the whispers of Satan, envy, jealousy as well as the evil eye (nazer). We concentrate on this world trying to obtain material wealth forgetting to treat others as we would like to be treated. An example of this is forgetting about our next-door neighbors, mistreating animals. We forget that the lessons as Muslims we should be practicing. You don’t need to give vast amounts of wealth to be a good Muslim. In fact the simple acts of kindness such as smiling at your neighbors, giving food to a person who needs it and talking to a person in a calm and polite manner.
4 Qul is well known and it the most read and listened by Muslims. It is known as the shielding chapters in the Qur'an, that comprises of four extremely short surahs (Al-Kafirun; Al-Ikhlas; Al-Falaq; and Al-Naas). When these recited properly from the heart and not rushed provides us an abundance of safety and relief from hardship.
Al-Kafirun
Thawab of reciting ¼ of the Qur’an.
A safe journey with Nasr, Ikhlas, Falaq & Naas.
You can recite for forgiveness.
It helps removes jealousy from your heart and increases love for others.
The meaning of Kafirun is the Disbelievers. This Surah is beautiful as it is like a free refill for our souls thus purifies our faith and aids us to strengthen our Islamic identity by reminding us to keep our relationship with Allah sacred, in a way that no other person/circumstance can affect it.
Al-Ikhlas
you can recite 3 times for thawab of reciting the whole Qur’an.
You can recite for forgiveness.
You can recite an abundance of wealth.
You can recite while traveling for safety.
You can recite the fulfillment of your wishes.
You can recite for protection from ‘evil eye’ (people bad wishes or bad vibes).
This surah is short beautiful and simple a perfect surah for our children to start learning. It only consists of 5 verses which affirm the key foundations of our faith that is only the belief that there is only one God).
The meaning of Ikhlas is being honest with Allah, and worshipping Him with Ihsan. The meaning of Ihsan is awareness that he is all-seeing and all-knowing and that nothing can be hidden from him. Ikhlas is closely has a very similar meaning to Ihsan. It means when a person is always aware that Allah sees all and nothing can be hidden from him. He or she is more likely to remember the importance of Ikhlas. And that person thinks of their actions before taking it, doing it with sincerity for Allah. Not caring about this world or what others will think around her or him. But in fact, only doing to please Allah so that they may be rewarded in this world and in the hereafter.
Al-Falaq
Did you know that if you recite in wajib salah in the month of Ramadan, it is as though you have fasted in Makkah and gain thawab of completing Hajj. A simple task for all of us to do to gain so much reward.
It helps to remove anxiety if recited with Surah An-Naas.
The meaning of Falaq means daybreak, and it describes how only Allah can bring dawn from the night. By using His divine attribute al-Falaq, this is a great example and reinforces the mind of the believer that it is that only Allah is the one who can protect him or her from evil.
The fundamental core and message are to show our weakness in dealing with things beyond our control. Even though we think that we can control all aspects of our lives. This is in fact not the case at all and as most of us forget this and only remember Allah in time of need. This is a simple way for us to seek protection from all evil. As well as the 3 major evils 1. Ignorance (keeping our minds and souls in the dark). 2. Black magic from those who wish to do us harm or others. 3. Most important is jealousy, which is unfortunately very common
Al-Naas
This sura is used by many Muslims for relief of pain and helps to find relief from illness when recited on medicine.
This sura helps and keeps you Safe from evil Jinn & most importantly Satan.
The meaning of Naas is Mankind. It is simple but yet so beautiful and brings unity to the mind. It is the final surah of the Qur'an. Yet has a simple message and shows that we are not immune we all have worries, stress, bad thoughts and as we as mankind are all seeking refuge from our Lord (Allah) from those whispers that mislead our souls to doing evil or being a part of evil. And from those energies of whose nature we do not understand, or whose creation is not visible to us i.e. evil whispers of Satan, Jinn and other people.
This helps to protect you from dark characteristics and natures that is why the recitation of this surah can help keep these evils at bay and under control.
